McKinlee Phillips as Chloe
McKinlee Phillips is a 10 year old triple threat who is making her film debut with MIND’S EYE. McKinlee has a background in competitive dancing in tap, jazz and hip hop. She has also been involved in numerous local idol singing competitions and was scouted by agencies in Los Angeles at the 2009 Canadian Model and Talent Convention. McKinlee enjoys gymnastics, swimming and horseback riding as well as spending time with her family. She hopes to continue working in the film and television industry and has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the production of MIND’S EYE as Chloe.
Kyle Breitkopf as Brendan
Kyle Harrison Breitkopf's career has moved very quickly. As an extremely eager and very talented little boy, his resume has grown quite quickly. Within 8 months of signing with his first agent, he had booked 6 short films, commercials, and a spot as a regular in a web series. All this before his 5th Birthday.
Jeremy Harttup as Clyde
Jeremy is currently enrolled in drama classes at Growing in the Arts in Kitchener. He has also taken dance classes, participated in school plays (including Romeo!) and is currently rehearsing for the role of Bubba in BUGGA BEGONIA YOU"LL BE SORRY, whihc is being staged by Growing in the Arts. In February 2011 he will be appearing in the Elmira Theatre Company's production of HOLLYWOOD ARMS. MIND'S EYE THE SERIES is his first film role.
Connor Lazic as Connor Wulfson
Connor Lazic is new to acting and filmmaking, a welcome addition to his creative bent. He is an avid bass player (both electric and acoustic) and has recently taken up the tenor sax and double bass. He also spends a lot of his time lost in books (preferably about ancient history) or his sketchbook. He is a huge fan of Canadian television, especially Corner Gas, Hiccups, Rick Mercer and the newly-discovered joys of SCTV. When not pursuing artistic endeavours, Connor loves outside activities with soccer and indoor activities with Xbox. He is a Grade 7 student at Courtland Senior Public School in Kitchener, ON and is in his second year of learning Latin.
Laura Nielsen as Maya
Laura Nielsen is hardly a new player in to Synn Studios repertoire and is pleased to be working with them again playing Maya in MIND’S EYE. Laura began acting along side MIND’S EYE co-creator, producer and director Thomas Gofton through Curtain Call Productions at the University of Guelph and then began working in film shortly after. Since then she has starred in a number of short films and features, most notable playing the romantic lead Jesse in the feature comedy FOUR ACES. Of her experience on MIND’S EYE, Laura says that it was “a lot of fun and a lot of work on… Learning to use and fight with real weapons took some time, but I made it out alive.”
Melanie Marie as Kaleigha
Melanie Marie is an actress and model who’s been working professionally in the industry for over a year. After training at the Sears & Switzer Acting Studio in Toronto, she began modelling for Next Top Model Studios where she appeared in numerous fashion competitions and was the face of Cargo Cosmetics on The Shopping Channel. She’s also appeared in music videos for Down With Webster, Memo Baa and Cartel, and acted in two episodes of the TV series CITY COMMANDO. Annika Gofton as The Angel Justicar
A graduate of Tartu University in her native Estonia, Annika joined Synn Studios in 2008 and has worked hard to research the international markets for film production in the Baltic regions of Europe. Annika has acted as an assistant director for Synn Studios Inc. commercial productions for clients such as Ashton Ridge Homes and “Music with Brian,” and was instrumental in the wardrobe department on the studios’ first full-length feature, FOUR ACES (2009).
