Thomas Gofton - Creator - Producer - Co-Director - Editor
Initiating as an actor, Thomas Gofton started his parent production company Lynnvander Inc. in the spring of 2006 just before attaining his degree in Psychology and Linguistics at the University of Guelph. Since his first fully produced feature length comedy "FOUR ACES", Thomas fostered the growth of Synn Studios Inc., a media production facility where he serves as President and C.E.O. Thomas also founded SharpCuts: Indie Film and Music Festival held annually in southern Ontario. Co-founder of iN Magazine and the web series channel Series North, Thomas works diligently as a producer, film editor and graphic designer.
Tom Brown - Writer - Associate Producer - Co-Director
A graduate of the University of Guelph, Tom works primarily as a screenwriter, editor, and director. Despite being most at home behind the lens, Tom is no stranger to being on screen or stage. With 10 years of improvisation and sketch comedy experience under his belt, Tom teaches with the Players Without Strings and sits on the Board of Directors for the SharpCuts: Indie Film and Music Festival. Tom is the co-creator, writer, and co-director of MIND’S EYE and is constantly working with his partners at Synn Studios to create more projects that the team can bring to life. As a member of Synn Studios Inc., Tom works enthusiastically to foster the company's growth as the Vice-President and C.O.O.
Nick Montgomery - Director of Photography - Visual Effects
Nick is an accomplished filmmaker and supporter of film in Guelph. He served for two years on the Board of Directors for Ed Video Media Arts Centre and was instrumental in the launch of the SharpCuts Indie Film and Music Festival, where he continues to serve on the Board. When not working on his own films like the 2007 haunted house horror SUMMONED, or his recent modern western SHADES OF GREY, Nick lends his service and expertise as a cinematographer, camera and steady cam operator and film editor to other productions. He also acted as co-producer of the Synn Studios’ feature comedy FOUR ACES.
Aaron Soch - Sound Designer
With a background in musical theory and composition, Aaron Soch joined Synn Studios team in 2007 with the intention to make the transition from recording his own music in a home studio to remaking himself as a professional music producer. Aaron found new opportunities working with Synn Studios and also found greater freedom to flex his creative muscles with new avenues in composition for film and television being opened up to him. Though by day, he’s a humble employee of Much Music, in his off-time Aaron, or Soch to his friends, specializes in urban, dance and experimental music, and is currently working with various Canadian bands and artists to create music that will appeal to the masses.
Seth J. Rowanwood - Art Director
With over 14 years of industry experience in graphic media, Seth's skill set has become quite diverse. Seth first started working professionally after graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) in 1992, and has been illustrating and designing ever since. His company, Inklight, has created logos, brands and offered other marketing strategies to companies big and small, including the CBC, for whom he designed the second season titles for the drama series THE BORDER. Seth is also responsible for the logo of Synn Studios, as well as those of the Studio’s numerous partner companies including Synn Records and Jeepers Peepers.
Zeeke Hamilton - Composer
Zeeke is a trained musician from the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music and has been playing piano since the age of 6. At the University of Guelph, where he studied theoretical physics and philosophy, he played trumpet in a jazz band on the club circuit before graduating to musical theatre. Working with the Obsidian Theatre Company, Kitchener-Waterloo Musical Productions and Royal City Musical Productions, Zeeke performed in a dozen shows including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, FAME and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT. Of his compositional style, Zeeke says it’s a combination of John Williams and Danny Elfman, but he has experience writing music of all genres.
Lovina Yavari - Key Makeup
Lovina Yavari is a model, professional SPFX make-up artist, comic book inker and co-host of the Complete Geek Radio podcast. She’s a graduate of the Complections International Academy of Make-Up Artistry and Synn Studios’ resident make-up wizard extraordinaire. When not working, Lovina enjoys cosplay, drawing, sculpting or chit-chatting about all things geek.

Ian Walsh - Fight Director
Ian Walsh is the founding Artistic Director and Baron of Blackthorn Productions. His interest in the Middle Ages and theatre has been with him since childhood so combining career with hobby seemed the right thing to do in 2004 when he founded Blackthorn. He has entertained children and adults of all ages across Southern Ontario through medieval demonstrations, festivals, workshops, feasts and plays.
Alicia Parkinson - Costume Designer
Alicia Hamilton is a self-taught costumer with extensive experience in dressing actors for local theatre production. She worked her way up the ranks with Royal City Musical Productions, Inc. in Guelph, beginning as a seamstress on KISS ME KATE, and then promoted to wardrobe mistress on THE MIKADO. After those successes, she was made costume designer for RCMPI’s production of BEAUTY ON THE BEAST, where she met MIND’S EYE creator Thomas Gofton, and her future husband Zeeke Hamilton. Alicia’s ambition is to be a full-time costumer for film and stage productions.
