Writing a New Season
Writing Has Begun on MIND’S EYE The NEW SEASONThe announcement has been made, and now the real work has begun on developing another great season of MIND’S EYE. One of the biggest differences going from the prelude season to season one is that the scripting responsibilities are being shared by a team of writers, including names already familiar with the MIND’S EYE universe:
Adam A. Donaldson (writer/director “Spooky Kids”), Chris Feres, Alaina Harper (writer/director “The Promise”), Nick Montgomery (writer/director “Shades of Grey”), Richard V. Oulette (playwright “Fall of the House of Usher”), Cameron Parkinson, Ron Parkinson, A. Paul C. Pengelly, and Stephen W. Young
Some of those names you probably recognized right off the bat. Nick Montgomery was the Director of Photography and Visual Effects Supervisor on MIND’S EYE the prelude season; Cameron Parkinson was one of the stunt men playing the Shadow’s Hand minions; Adam A. Donaldson was the publicist and played the “Angry Theatre Patron” in chapter 3; and A. Paul C. Pengelly filled the small, but pivotal role of “The Traveler.”
Working from an outline by series creator Thomas M. Gofton and under the supervision of Gofton himself, the writing team is currently in the process of breaking down the storyline of season one and plotting the 12, 10-15 minute episodes.
The writing process will unfold over the course of the summer with an eye on pre-production to begin in earnest by late August/early September. There’s some big ideas planned, and stay tuned to the MIND’S EYE website for some sneak peaks into the Writers’ Room throughout the summer.
