Mind’s Eye Coming to Anime North

Anime North

In an already busy season of conventions and festivals, the cast and crew of MIND’S EYE have added another stop to the tour, this one closer to our own backyard. Synn Studios and Lynnvander Productions are proud to announce that they are teaming up with Polaris to bring MIND’S EYE to ANIME NORTH, Canada’s premiere fan-run anime convention.

Unfolding the weekend after Victoria Day (or on the Memorial Day long weekend for our American friends), May 27th to 29th, Anime North takes place at two locations: the Toronto Congress Centre and at the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel, near Pearson Airport. The con attracted nearly 17,000 visitors last year thanks to its combination of special guests and programs like the Skit Contest and Anime North Idol.

So what’s MIND’S EYE bringing? How about the first public test of the MIND’S EYE video game? Team 7 Productions is putting the finishing touches on the beta version of the game, where players will be able to try on their favourite Dreamweaver from the series and fight the evil Shadow’s Hand minions, The Dolgrath’s Girl Friday Maya, and the Big Red Bad himself. Fans of the original FINAL FANTASY for NES will definitely want to check this out.

Mind's Eye Game Still

As well, the team will continue play testing the MIND’S EYE-related role-playing game, “Dreamweaver.” Our last public test was at Wizard World Toronto, so put on your gaming hat, grab your 12-sided dice and get into the worlds of MIND’S EYE and put your imagination to the test.

Coming up next in the MIND’S EYE world tour, a stopover in St. John’s NFLD (and a homecoming for MIND’S EYE writer Tom Brown) at Sci-Fi on the Rock starting this Friday, April 15th.

Podcast and Film Festival

Back before the show launched the creators of Mind's Eye the fantasy webseries journeyed across the lands to various Comic conventions to pre-promote the show. One of the adventures lead them to a great pod cast group called "Sci-fi Saturday Night". The host team of the show invited Thomas Gofton, creator and star of the show to come on and chat about what to expect from the up and coming release of Season One.

SciFiSaturdayNIte

It was a great conversation and all involved had a fun time. Now, almost 6 months later, the folks of Sci-Fi Saturday Night have invited Thomas back for a recap of the first seasons launch as we approach the finale! Episode 24 - Forest for the trees. Tune in here to listen to the pod cast live on Saturday night, April 23rd at 8:00pm Eastern time.

Then, if you still haven't had enough Mind's Eye and you're interested in meeting the creators the show will exhibit several episodes live in a theater at the SharpCuts: Indie Music and Film Festival. The festival takes place in the show's home town and is expecting quite the homecoming. After, guests will be able to meet and greet with the creators and more. The location is the Synnema at 121 Wyndham Street N. Unit 106 in Guelph ON on Webseries Wednesday Night starting line up at 7pm.

Don't miss this one as well as other webseries from all over including the award winning "Out with Dad" and the L.A. great comedy "Night of the Zombie King".

Two great nights and two great Mind's Eye opportunities!

The Roleplaying Game

Dreamweaver Roleplaying Game

The Dreamweavers RPG is now being released for open playtesting. We've gone about as far as we can go with in-house playtesting and feel that we're now ready to get other groups involved.

If you’re interested in helping us playtest the Dreamweavers RPG please contact us Here.

Groups will be provided with a playtest version of the rules, a simple character sheet, and a playtest adventure. We’d like playtest groups to run through the provided adventure at least once, but otherwise you’re encouraged to come up with your own characters and adventures. Now’s your chance to make imagination reality as a dreamweaver, show off your superhuman abilities as a half-blood, or utilize skills and equipment to their fullest as a human struggling to survive in war between powerful supernatural beings.

For more information on the game Dreamweaver, please see Here.
