Mind’s Eye Goes to the Public

Members of the MIND’S EYE cast and crew descended upon Polaris 24 this past weekend in order to do some good, old fashioned, face-to-face promotion of the currently filming webseries.

Creator/director Thomas Gofton, writer/co-star/co-producer Tom Brown and sound engineer Aaron Soch talked about the inception of MIND’S EYE through its various incarnations from conceptualization to the series that’s currently filming. Behind the scenes clips, effects tests and a few sneak preview scenes were sampled for those in attendance for the Friday night MIND’S EYE panel.

Many of the film’s younger cast members were doing their part to promote the series. Aidan Harris, (Patrick), Andrew Harper (Mark), Kyle Brietkopf (Brendan) and Nathan Fryer (Darius) all took part in Friday’s Q&A panel before Aidan, Andrew and Nathan retired for some Klingon karaoke, singing Miley Cyrus while name-dropping MIND’S EYE. On Saturday night, the trio took part in the Masquerade Ball as the “Fightin’ Darth Mauls” and were, indeed, awarded by the judges the Best Fight award.

Mostly though, the weekend was about pounding the pavement and getting the word out about MIND’S EYE and its November launch date. A highly receptive crowd at Polaris was curious about the project and eager to talk about it with the Synn Studios crew. Come back soon for behind the scenes video of the MIND’S EYE weekend at Polaris and if you missed seeing us in person, look for the Synn Studios booth at the National Fan Expo in Toronto from August 27-29.

In the meantime, here are some pictures from Friday night.
