Mind’s Eye Takes Manhattan

Manhattan

Mind's Eye will meet the Turtles!

Thanks to a last minute opening, the MIND'S EYE crew will be heading to the New York Comic Con, taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Manhattan from October 8th till 10th. The event is the largest of its kind on the East Coast of the U.S. with over 75,000 people in attendance during the con last year. Much like the National Fan Expo, the audience is ripe for what MIND'S EYE has to offer: action, adventure, fantasy, as well as cool heroes and dastardly villains. Over the next month, the Synn Studios team is going to prepare for their sojourn to The City that Never Sleeps. If MIND'S EYE can make it there, it can make it anywhere. New York, New York, here we come!

Tether's End

Working on the crew of the Mind's Eye Series isn't all glitz and glamour... in fact it was mostly hard work and dedication. Need proof? Check out Thomas M. Gofton, Tom Brown, Aaron Soch, Sean Liu, and Nick Montgomery behind the camera, after a long day of juggling multiple roles on set. Despite fatigue, heavy costumes, and even one possible case of stomach flu, the gang was in good spirits as they finished off one of many action packed days on set.

Interview with Chris Zweerman

Christopher L. Zweerman was an old University friend to Director Thomas Gofton. Together the two chatted about great ideas and fun stories. They actually worked on a fantasy novel together during the years at the University of Guelph. One year, Thomas Gofton prepared the short film Mind's Eye and had nothing really developed to the degree it is now. Christopher always had an interest to dable in anything technical or try it out just once. Together and with the crew of the first short film concept rendition of Mind's Eye Christopher and Thomas were a fun friendship team.

Now in medical school in Australia, Christopher is well on his way to Doctor-hood. He managed to come back and visit his old friends from his old university town. After lunch, Thomas interviewed Christopher about the reminiscent times of 2007's shoot. See the interview below as well as the original concept trailer.
